The Combined

These days, I find myself falling in love with brands and companies not only because of their products but also because of who is behind it. I want to know where things are made, how they are produced and WHY these companies do what they do. I guess I’m becoming more of a conscious consumer and traceability has become one of my values.  That doesn’t necessarily mean that I won’t support a company who does not fit my standards (at least not yet), but the curiosity has started to kick in. For the past few years, I’ve started to get to know some of the people behind the brands and companies I like and it has made my relationship with these brands a lot stronger. If I believe in your vision and I understand your beliefs, I think it makes falling in love with your brand that much easier. Prior to this week I had the chance to meet with one of the founders of a brand new company that I want to share with you. A7 is a brand-new camera strap company who has been making strides in the accessories world. The product is made of 100% premium quality leather, which gives each piece its own unique flavor and continues to improve its character with each wear. I like the idea of adding a bit of personality to my camera by adding a different strap to it. The stock straps that usually come with a new camera are a bit generic and the A7 original camera strap definitely gives it a bit of an edge. I’ve attached the A7 to my 7D and I already love the way it looks. As a person of style and character, I think my accessories should embody the same characteristics.
